Such a sweet little family! I was lucky to capture them in their space with their new little ones and awesome 4 year old too. Brittney was the winner of our giveaway we did back in the fall and she had envisioned a relaxed, real feel for our session. So glad she did! I love they way they turned out . . . and I was definitely feeling the black and white for this session.

It is always a delight to hang out with the Hendersons! This day was no exception :) We took their family pictures last year, but they were missing one son who was on a mission. I was excited to hear from Carrie that they needed an update with ALL the kids this year, which is quite a feat when half of your kids live across the country!

I think I say this every time, but seriously these are some of my favorite people :) Oh yeah, and I am of course partial to their Pizza Factory gear, which they wore so they could give a gift to their friends the Pizza Factory owners. See what I mean? They are awesome.

(Watching the family try and get Lon to do a "tough guy pose" was probably my favorite.)

I have a special place in my heart for families with all girls, because that's what I have. I remember people always saying "your poor Dad!" . . . and it made me mad! ha! I always thought my Dad thought himself pretty lucky. I was armed and ready for this shoot, but didn't even need to think twice about the bribes because these kids were total naturals. These sisters have an adoring grandmother that just had to get some pictures of them before they moved away from her . . . and I was the lucky one that got to meet them to take care of her wishes! Such beautiful girls and a beautiful grandma who I know is going to miss these girls and be missed by them! I had lots of fun with these ladies and even had me a new little bestie after this shoot and was happy about it :)

This is my sister. Isn't she lovely? Her husband is pretty cool too (even if he always makes fun of me, but that is another story). These two are the most deserving soon-to-be parents I know and have waited a long time for this little baby to come.
When I asked Natalee what sort of maternity pictures she envisioned for herself (because maternity pictures can be tricky, ya know) she said, "I just want them to show how happy we are, because we are!".

I adore this family! They were all (not so) excited to take pictures on an early morning, but came out with their best smiles anyway :) Which comes pretty naturally to all of them, if you can't tell. In fact, Raquel taught me how to smile, seriously, and now I know where she gets her smiling skills . . . it runs in the family! These guys are so much fun! You can just tell how much fun they have together and of course how much they love their newest addition, little baby caroline.

I enjoyed so much their fun personality they brought to this session! They are both med students (I know, impressive, huh?) at Texas Tech, which is why they obviously had to bring along cowboy boots and belt buckles. . . they said they purposefully forgot to bring their scrubs :)

I forgot how tiny newborns are! It is amazing how quickly you can forget and how fast those little babies grow.

We got to meet up with baby Josie for her blessing day photos. Her blessing dress was beautiful, one that her older sister wore as well, which makes it even more special.

Finally we are getting these wedding pictures up. I think things will be back to normal now that we are (sort of) adjusting to life with a little one!

Now on to the important stuff...this is my sister's wedding. Everything was so much fun. Loved it. They did a great job at putting together a wedding that fit their likes and personalities perfectly!

Believe it or not, those are rain drops in this picture with blue skies. It rained on and off all day, but we still pulled off an outdoor wedding.

And now to the reception...

2 awesome reception and 2 very cool cakes. Both made by Brittany Mcmullin Danielle gave her the ideas for the wedding and she went with it. They both turned out fabulous and matched each event perfectly!

Reception #2 was held at Classic Skate Center in Orem. It was such a fun celebration and as you can see, even the bride and groom were skating.

Little sister is getting married!

We are so excited Dan and Matt to tie the knot in 3 weeks and counting. I am glad she found such a great guy, and I think they fit each other perfectly (and they like to play games with me and Zach so that makes us happy too. hehe).

I am impressed with my sister's tradition of yearly pictures of the kids, it is so fun to be the photographer and the auntie who gets to take part in the fun :)

This year's pictures have been the most fun so far as the twins were...for the most part...very cooperative (as cooperative as 3 year old boys can be I should say).

Those boys have such a sweet older sister. "Siddy" as they call her.

Despite the photographer in me, I was NOT going to get maternity pictures taken of myself. Not sure why...?

Then when we found a perfect day in a perfect spot on our last little get away in Midway, Utah with the fam...I couldn't resist. Plus, my wise husband said I should do it. So we did. I am pleasantly surprised with the results and glad that I now have something to document this unique time. So here they are:

This is such a fun little family. They just welcomed new baby Lilly to their family and have a very active and adorable 2 year old.

After rescheduling a few times due to this crazy spring weather we have been having, we finally had a day that held out long enough for us to get some great shots and capture some of their sweet personalities.

Baby Lilly is just plain sweet.

And Mia loved being in front of the camera, she even whipped out some of her jumping skills for us.

Mia loved the bubbles she got to play with, and when I saw her a few days later she asked for bubbles. I felt pretty special she remembered me!

So fun. I will admit that my favorite images from family sessions are the ones that show what it is really like for the families when trying to get a 2 year old and a baby to look at the camera :)

...she is probably one of my most favorite people. She is beautiful (as you can very well see), sweet, talented, funny, and just plain cool.

She is also coming up quickly upon her graduation from BYU Nursing School. Definitely an achievement to celebrate. In lieu of her celebration she let us take some pictures of her in her sweet nursing uniform and some with her violin (which she plays incredibly by the way).

My sister, Danielle and her friend Toby just started working at a new salon in St. George called Bliss.

We helped out with some pictures for some advertisements they are working on. It was pretty much just plain fun hanging out with them and their models for the day.

I have experienced both of their work and have always left feeling satisfied (the plus side of having a sister that does hair is endless) but she does an amazing job with all of her clients, so check them out if you are in the need of a new style.

Plus, it is always a party there!

Here they are. Such a cute little family. Lindsay was worried about her kids being crazy, and they were, but aren't all kids? Especially when you want them to smile.
